1. Using Shift

Use Shift only where you can legally enter into these terms, or with the permission and involvement of your parent or guardian where required. Respect other people’s privacy, image rights and intellectual property. Do not use the app unlawfully, bypass purchase controls, or redistribute its software, filters or bundled assets as a competing product. Mandatory rights to interoperability and other lawful uses remain unaffected.

2. Your photos and exported work

You retain your rights in photographs and text you use. You must have the necessary rights and permissions to edit or share them. Editing a photo does not give us ownership or a right to use it in marketing. You may use your exported work, including commercially, subject to rights in the original content and applicable law; this does not grant a right to extract or resell Shift’s underlying assets.

3. Features, downloads and compatibility

Shift provides camera tools, effects, frames, text and export features. Results depend on your source image, device, permissions and available storage. Some effects need a separate AI-model download from Apple and compatible hardware. Processing is local, but downloads, subscriptions and optional place-name lookup need internet access. Original-resolution export means the source image’s supported resolution, not recovery of detail that is not present. Keep backups of important photos.

4. Shift Pro, trials and renewal

An active Shift Pro subscription unlocks the filter catalogue and original-resolution exports supported by your device and source image. The App Store purchase sheet shows the actual price, billing period, taxes where applicable and any eligible trial. Trials are offered only when Apple confirms eligibility. Unless cancelled, a trial converts to the displayed paid plan and a subscription renews automatically. Apple charges your Apple Account under the terms shown at purchase. We do not store your payment-card details.

5. Cancellation, restoration and refunds

Manage or cancel your plan in your Apple Account’s subscription settings. To avoid a trial renewal, Apple advises cancelling at least 24 hours before it ends. Deleting Shift does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation normally stops future renewal, with access lasting for the period Apple confirms; trial access may end earlier under Apple’s rules. Use Restore purchases in Shift with the same Apple Account. Refund requests go through Apple, subject to its process and your statutory rights. No clause here removes a legally applicable withdrawal, refund or other consumer remedy.

6. iOS licence and other services

The Apple Standard End User License Agreement governs the licence to the iOS app; these terms supplement it for Shift’s service and website and do not reduce mandatory protections. Apple is not responsible for providing Shift support. Apple services, Qonversion subscription verification and optional Google Firebase Analytics also involve their respective providers, as explained in our Privacy Policy. You do not need to accept optional analytics to use paid features.

7. Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide a reliable service and will address problems with reasonable care. We cannot promise every effect will suit every photo or uninterrupted availability on every device. Nothing here excludes liability or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory digital-content and consumer protections. For a problem, contact us so we can investigate and discuss the remedies available. We do not require you to give up those rights or submit to compulsory private arbitration.

8. Changes and applicable law

Features and these terms may change for technical, security or legal reasons. We will identify the updated date and give appropriate notice of material changes; changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights. Romanian law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or access to courts available under the law of their habitual residence.
